Ultimate Fighting Championship star Conor McGregor stood in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Wednesday morning to find out his fate following his “UFC 202” bottle throwing incident with Nate Diaz. McGregor was previously fined $150,000 by the athletic commission, but requested a re-hearing which was granted for today.
It seems his request for another hearing paid off, as his fine has been decreased to just $25,000 and only twenty-five hours of community service. That is a $50,000 decrease in money owed as half of his $150,000 penalty was an estimated value of his PSA.
Bob Bennett, the executive director of the NSAC, mentioned that he did not believe the original punishment was fair to McGregor. Stay tuned to MMA Imports for more on this story as it develops.
