We are less than three months into Donald Trump’s reign as President of the United States of America and he is already making some major moves. Trump and the USA have started to ship the first parts of their advanced anti-missile defense system in South Korea earlier this week after North Korea tested their ballistic missiles, Reuters reports.
U.S. Pacific Commander Admiral Harry Harris issued a statement saying, “Continued provocative actions by North Korea, to include yesterday’s launch of multiple missiles, only confirm the prudence of our alliance decision last year to deploy THAAD to South Korea.” Harris is referring to the self-defense anti-missile system “Terminal High Altitude Area Defense” (THAAD). Kim Jong Un had personally supervised the launching of missiles earlier this week in North Korea, further solidifying USA’s decision to create a bond with South Korea where they deployed their anti-missile system.
