The potential superfight between boxing icon Floyd Mayweather and UFC Superstar Conor McGregor seems to be inching closer and closer to becoming a reality. With the NSAC’s fine now paid, McGregor is free and clear to apply for a license in Nevada.
Following the bottle throwing incident during the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference with Nate Diaz, the Nevada State Athletic Commission fined Conor McGregor $75,000 and 50 hours of community service. McGregor didn’t agree with their punishment and contested the fines imposed on him, so the NSAC has decided to go with the Attorney General’s original suggested punishment which is a $25,000 fine and 25 hours of community service.
Boxing News and Views was the first to report the news and the Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed to them that McGregor has indeed paid the fine.
