UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier has posted a hilarious image to Instagram, featuring former champions Luke Rockhold and Cain Velasquez.
The three AKA fighters can be seen posing with their respective UFC championship belts inside a hospital.
The message reads,
“How ironic is this photo? Me @officialcainvelasquez and @luckerockhold all came to visit the hospital to see pops but after our last 3 pullouts how’s this for a photo. #mygroin #myback #myknee smh The American Kickboxing Academy lol (jk I swear we are all fine now).”
The American Kickboxing Academy has had a bad stint of injuries as of late. Khabib Nurmagomedov being unable to compete at last weekend’s UFC 209 due to weight management issues is the most recent speed bump that AKA has faced. Cormier, Rockhold and Velasquez have all had to pull out of fights as well, but at least they seem in good spirits about the circumstance.
Cormier is set to face Anthony Johnson at UFC 210 on April 8.
