UFC President Dana White was the biggest obstacle standing in Conor McGregor’s way when it came to fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a massive cross-sport super fight. However, White recently took the backseat and decided he was in no position to block McGregor from making an astronomical amount of money and he has simply decided to become a fan, on the outside looking in.
Just like any other fan, White is extremely curious as to how this fight will play off. Many experts believe simply because it’s taking place in a boxing ring and Conor will only have his hands, Floyd will have the clear cut advantage. White told X17:
“Great thing about fights is you never know who’s going to win. Believe me, there’s a lot of weekends we put on fights and I think people aren’t going to win and they do. It’s the crazy thing about the fight business. I mean if it was guaranteed that Floyd was going to win this fight, why would you pay for it?”
“There’s no guarantees.”
“Conor’s 27, Floyd’s 40. Conor’s the bigger, stronger guy. He’s got knockout power.”
