The lawyers behind the UFC and its president Dana White have found 26 pages worth of reasons to dismiss UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt’s lawsuit, at least they would probably tell you that.
UFC 200 featured former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar taking on Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt. Unfortunately for Hunt, the fight was later reprimanded, as Lesnar was later suspended for a USADA drug violation. Of course, Lesnar was able to lock down a unanimous decision victory before the drug test was finalized.
While Lesnar would go on the retire, largely in part due to the one year USADA suspension, Hunt had no interest in such things.
“The Super Samoan” filed a lawsuit against the UFC in response.
Well, the UFC attorneys seem to believe they have a solid case. The official document kicks off by claiming that Hunt’s claim is “fatally defective.”
Mark Hunt is set to face Alistair Overeem at UFC 209 this Saturday.
