Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White is putting on his “fan hat” and looking at the potential super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor as a spectator. White was recently given the task of breaking down the cross-sport war, and blamed people of not giving McGregor enough credit in the size and age department.
Surely, McGregor’s lack of experience inside the boxing ring will limit how well he does compared to how natural Mayweather feels inside the squared circle, but White isn’t dismissing the chances of McGregor walking out with his hands raised in victory. White told X7:
“The great thing about fights, is you never know who’s going to win. Believe me, there’s a lot of weekends that we put on fights, and I think people are not going to win, and they do. That’s the crazy thing about the fight business. If it was guaranteed that Floyd was going to win this fight, why would you pay for it? There are no guarantees. Conor is 27, Floyd is 40. Conor’s the bigger, stronger guy. He’s got knockout power. It’s an interesting fight.”
