Ultimate Fighting Championship has undergone a major facelift since WME-IMG took over behind the scenes, and under the bright lights of the octagon. Several fighters were notified of their releases earlier this week and among those names was none other than Brandon Thatch, a ranked welterweight.
Thatch’s biggest moment inside the octagon took place when he dropped and finished Paulo Thiago with a series of strikes in the opening round of their bout. It wasn’t long before Thatch fell into a four-fight losing streak, however, which was started when he squared off with late-replacement Benson Henderson in his welterweight debut.
