Ultimate Fighting Championship mega-star Conor McGregor is teasing that a potential super-fight with Floyd Mayweather is getting closer to being made official as each day passes. Floyd Mayweather has made it clear that the ball is in McGregor’s court, and it seems that Mayweather has already begun reaching out to talents who already fight under the UFC banner to help him prepare for this mega-match.
Eleventh-ranked UFC lightweight Kevin Lee has been contacted to help Mayweather kick off his training camp, and Lee offered some insight with Helen Yee:
“Apparently, training camp is starting up soon for him, but I haven’t heard back yet. I assume they’re going to want to get him into shape first before we start doing any type of sparring so the fight, they’re talking about having it in June. I hear that he’s starting the training camp either this week or next week. I’m assuming three weeks for him to get into shape to be able to spar so I don’t know when I’ll hear back. I think right now they’re working on the logistics of the fight before they set up the training camp.”
