No. 1 world ranked BJJ champion Mackenzie Dern defeated former golden gloves champion Katherine Roy at tonight’s LFA 6 in spectacular fashion.
Going toe-to-toe with the former boxing champion, Mackenzie managed to snag a unanimous decision victory over Roy.
Now riding a three fight win streak, Dern hopes to eventually make her way to the UFC promotion. After her fight, 6-2 flyweight Andrea Lee called the grappling phenom out on Twitter.
She said, “ask Mackenzie if she’s moving up to flyweight and maybe a title fight with me.”
In her post fight interview, Mackenzie noted a concern with shifting her weight class for the bout, noting that “Maybe we will fight in the UFC.”
