“UFC 209” was looking to be one of the more stacked cards of 2017 so far, but with just twenty-four hours to go until fight night one of the biggest fights on the event has been scrapped.
Khabib Nurmagomedov made his way to the hospital just hours before the early weigh-ins started in Las Vegas, Nevada and his status in the co-main event was immediately in question. Nurmagomedov was scheduled to square off with Tony Ferguson to decide the fate of the UFC’s interim lightweight championship, but after Nurmagomedov no-showed the weigh-ins due to his illness the fight was canceled.
Some of the lightweight division’s finest are offering their services to save the co-main event of the evening with less than a day to train and prepare:

Alvarez has not been seen inside the octagon since his devastating knockout loss to Conor McGregor at “UFC 205”. Alvarez lost the championship he worked hard to get, but may be on the brink of capturing it yet again in less than twenty-four hours. Should Alvarez get the shot?
