Former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar has been watching the action unfold in the featherweight and lightweight division since his decisive victory over Jeremy Stephens at “UFC 205” last year. “The Answer” still has gas left in the tank, and he has his eye on getting the gold that he came so close to capturing at “UFC 200” when he was shut down by now-champion Jose Aldo.
Edgar will be making his return to the octagon at “UFC 211” in Dallas, Texas on May 13, 2017 and will be welcomed back by the up-and-coming star Yair Rodriguez, Television Deportes reports. Rodriguez has proven his toughness inside the octagon and put on one of the best performances of his career when he dominated Penn in just two rounds of action. Rodriguez is looking to extend his eight-fight win streak at the expense of Edgar who wants to turn some heads himself.

Edgar has suffered just one defeat since 2013, and putting down a rising star like Yair could be the first of a couple fights that Edgar needs to climb back up the ladder.
UFC 211 takes place this summer and featured a headline fight between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos. Who do you think will walk out with the gold in the main event? Share your predictions in the comment section below!
