Conor McGregor is preparing himself for one of the biggest fights of his career so long as he can get the paperwork with Floyd Mayweather Jr. all wrapped up. The two stars have been teasing a fight for the ages and all signs are pointing to this scrap taking place this year.
There is some concern in the mixed martial arts community that McGregor will not be able to land his powershots on an experienced boxer like Mayweather. However, McGregor was able to find his distance when he was sparring with a boxer of similar stature in Chris Van Heerden when the two threw down inside the ring last year. McGregor’s technique may leave more to be desired, but his left straight repeatedly has no problems closing the distance and popping the jaw of Van Heerden.
McGregor loves to study movement; Do you think McGregor will be able to learn Mayweather’s movements fast enough to take away the undefeated legend’s ability to slip a punch with ease?
