Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight Roy Nelson has been forced to sit on the sidelines due to his post-fight actions against “Big” John McCarthy, but it appears he’s on his way back to the octagon! A major heavyweight bout has been confirmed for “UFC Fight Night: Johnson vs. Reis” as eleventh-ranked Alexander
Volkov will square off with a returning Nelson.
Nelson has not stepped foot inside the octagon since his vicious knockout win over Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC Fight Night: Cyborg vs. Lansberg in September of last year. Nelson has suffered four losses in his last six fights, and hopes to bounce back in a major way by knocking out a top fifteen prospect.
Volkov is one of the more impressive fighters in the heavyweight division, having scored a submission win, knockout win, and a decision win in his last three outings. His UFC debut took place at “UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Hall 2” last year and he just squeezed by with a split decision win over Tim Johnson.
Who do you think will walk out of this heavyweight clash on top?
