UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal is ready to get back into the octagon and snag another win at UFC 211 in May. The fighter will be facing No. 3 ranked welterweight Demian Maia, in hopes of climbing his way up from his No. 6 spot in the division.
Masvidal is riding a three fight win streak, pulling his most recent victory at UFC on Fox 23 with a TKO against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
That being said defeating Demian Maia is no small task. The welterweight warrior is currently strolling a six-fight win streak, with a recent win over Carlos Condit on his record.
Well, Masvidal doesn’t seem to mind Maia’s record, as he recently told TMZ Sports that things are going to go sideways for his opponent very soon.
“I’m gonna [expletive] him up man.” Masvidal told TMZ Sports. “I’m not a classic striker. I can wrestle. I’m betting the house on this. I’ve been calling Dana to see if he takes a $200k bet and he hasn’t taken it yet.”
Masvidal and Maia will go toe-to-toe, house bets or not, at UFC 211 on May 13 inside the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
