The rivalry between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor saw a bit of a revival when it was revealed that the two had been talking about their cross-sport super fight. Most of the trash-talk between the two remained about each other and nothing else, but Mayweather recently unloaded on McGregor and his sport of mixed martial arts all in the same rant.
Mayweather was recently asked about McGregor is a press conference and did not hesitate to bark back at the lightweight (and self-proclaimed featherweight) champion:
“A lot of times with competitors and athletes and fighters we can ask for certain things that we really don’t want, I want to fight, I want to fight, there’s a lot of barking but there’s no biting there. When you talk about biting, sign the contract. Don’t talk the [expletive], if you really want to fight, sign the [expletive] contract and we can make it happen. So, just letting the world know that he’s full of [expletive] and he doesn’t want to fight.”
“You talking all that [expletive], you acting like you want to fight, sign the contract and let’s make it happen. I’m my own boss, you belong to the UFC and you don’t own anything.”
“At one particular time I had to be the B side, I didn’t cry, I didn’t complain, when they brought the money to the table, I took it, kicked [expletive] and became the A side, now I’m the A side. Come kick my [expletive] and you become the A side.”
“Real men fight standing up, I’m not gonna kick my shoes off, I’m not gonna be in-between no man’s legs on the ground, I’ma stand up and I’ma kick [expletive]. That’s what I do.”
“Conor McGregor stop blowing smoke up everybody [expletive] you [expletive].”
“Conor McGregor has been telling the world, I want to fight Floyd Mayweather, if you really want to fight, let’s make the fight happen. Your the B side, I’m the A side. With or without Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather is still going to get 7 figures every month for the rest of his life and live a lavish life.”
