UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping’s name was on the top of the list of fighters most likely to welcome Georges St-Pierre back into the octagon after his signing with the UFC was confirmed.
Fans had created a buzz for St-Pierre to square off with Nick Diaz again or to return to the weight class that he dominated for years as champion. However, UFC President Dana White has made it official that GSP will be challenging Bisping for his middleweight championship upon his return.
Bisping has been taunting St-Pierre over social media ever since the signing was made official, and Bisping struck gold with Wednesday’s championship-fight announcement.
While a date and location have yet to be named for the scrap, Bisping still took to social media to post his reaction and share the official poster for the fight:
“It’s on!”
