Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha “Cupcake” Tate has posted a nostalgia filled message to Instagram, rejoicing in what she considers the best day of her life.
Back in March of last year, “Cupcake” defeated former champion Holly Holm for the bantamweight title with a fifth round rear-naked choke. For Tate, this was the greatest moment of her life.
On Instagram, the former champion posted
“Yesterday marked 1 year from the best day of my life. I didn’t get a chance to post yet so I figure late is better than never! I want to thank everyone who had any part to do with this journey whether you were with me or against me, cheering for me or cheering for me to fail, you all had a part to do with my success. Those who have supported me truly inspired me to be the best and those that didn’t motivated me to be the best anyways. Thank you all! Life is crazy but this will forever be a moment I cherish!”
Tate is currently coming off of a two fight losing streak. Most recently, Tate lost to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 via unanimous decision on November.
