When Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor signed the dotted lines to make their “UFC 202” bout official, there were rumors that the card would have a bit of a gang warfare feel to it. Diaz’s teammate Chris Avila was signed to a lightweight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and was offered a fight with McGregor’s right-hand-man Artem Lobov on the preliminary card.
Both of Avila’s outings inside the octagon resulted in unanimous decision losses and company officials decided it was time to let the young prospect go. Avila was removed from the online roster and UFC Fighters iNFO picked it up on their end:

Do you think we’ll see Avila back in the octagon in the future? The young prospect had just seven professional fights to his name at the time of his signing and he shows great potential. Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
