One of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s biggest stars in Nate Diaz may be wrangled in by the Nevada State Athletic Commission to revisit his hearing for the bottle-throwing incident at “UFC 202” last year.
UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor had his second hearing with the NSAC on Wednesday morning and it was revealed that his original fine of $75,000 ($150,000 with estimated value of PSAs) would be decreased to just $25,000 with only twenty-five days of community service. This was decided during Wednesday’s re-hearing after McGregor requested to have this case revisited.
FOX Sports is reporting that after the hearing, Nevada Commission Chairman Anthony Marnell suggested they give Nate a second hearing as well to create an “even and equal playing field”. Diaz was originally fined with fifty hours of community service along with a hefty $50,000 fine.
