Ultimate Fighting Championship boss Dana White made the return of Georges St-Pierre official on a Wednesday morning edition of ESPN’s “SportsCenter”. GSP will clash with UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping this year, but White still has yet to reveal the date and location of the big-money fight.
Bookies labeled Bisping the favorite as the list of candidates who would welcome St-Pierre back to the octagon, but it seems that’s the only favorable odds he’s getting. The bookies have labeled St-Pierre as the favorite in his first fight in three years. Apparently, ring rust doesn’t mean a thing to the bookies in Las Vegas. Check out the odds provided by Sports Interaction:
Michael Bisping: +120
Georges St-Pierre: -150
If a bettor were to place $150 on St-Pierre winning the fight, he would simply win $100. However, if a gambler were to place a wager on underdog Bisping, $100 will win you $120. Who would you bet on, and is it fair for GSP to be labeled the favorite in his comeback fight?
