Last night in London the UFC and the sport of MMA lost a pioneer on the English scene, Brad Pickett.
Pickett planned his retirement fight around the UFC’s return trip to London and was ultimately finished in the third round of action via knockout.
The finish came with one minute left in the fight, and had that kick missed, it’s very likely the English fighter would have finalized his career with a decision victory.
We know this to be true, because up until the lights got shut off, Pickett was winning the fight unanimously on all judges cards.

Confirming what we already suspected. Brad Pickett was up 20-18 on two scorecards before the last-second KO. Would have won. #UFCLondon pic.twitter.com/M3TWtqo2JN
