Ever since Conor McGregor called out Floyd Mayweather Jr, fighters have been scrambling for cross-promotional attention of their own.
After swiftly finishing Corey Anderson, UFC’s Jimi Manuwa called out boxing phenom David Haye. Nick Diaz was just called out by former boxing champion Jean Pascal. Now, two more fighters have added themselves to the mix.
UFC welterweight Kelvin Gastelum recently went to Twitter to suggest an entire cross-promotional fight card.
“How about a whole PPV event! Boxing vs UFC fighter!! I want in on some haha,” Gastelum posted. Another UFC fighter was quick to respond.
UFC featherweight Cub Swanson responded to the tweet with “I’d like to see that.”
UFC President Dana White has been resistant to the concept of Conor McGregor taking on Mayweather under the UFC banner in the past. Though, more recently White has admitted that he thinks the fight is inevitable.
