Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm is eyeing her return to the octagon, and it appears that the Ultimate Fighting Championship already has an opponent lined up for her.
Holm has not stepped foot inside the octagon since her upset loss to Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208 where she failed to capture the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship. Just before that, Holm was pushed to her limit in a bout with Valentina Shevchenko who would ultimately go on to become the top contender for Amanda Nunes’ bantamweight championship.
Albuquerque Journal is now reporting that UFC officials have offered Holm an octagon newcomer in Ji Yeon Kim at “UFC Fight Night Singapore”. Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez informed Albuquerque Journal of the news through text, and revealed that they have yet to accept the offer.
Yeon Kim has been making a name for herself on the regional scenes fighting for the likes of Top FC, DEEP Jewels, Road FC, and Gladiator. Do you think this is a good opponent to welcome Holm back into the octagon? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
