Ultimate Fighting Championship made their return to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with “UFC 209” and the main event left a bad taste in the fans’ mouths. UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson had another chess-match of a title fight that saw both men approach their opponent with the utmost caution. There were less than twenty significant strikes thrown by the time the second round had ended, and their pacing paled in comparison to the pacing of matches prior.
Fans took to social media and complained about the event, but UFC President Dana White was cage side for the entire card and thinks the fans should have little to complain about.
