Ultimate Fighting Championship has one of the deepest rosters in sports altogether, let alone mixed martial arts. The best in the world come to the octagon to prove that they have what it takes to one day hold the prize over their heads.
However, sometimes UFC sees fit that a fighter is not ready to begin their path toward the top of their weight class. Such is the case with UFC middleweight Scott Askham who has been granted his release by the UFC on Monday evening.
Scott Askham is now coming off of a two fight losing streak, as the mixed martial arts warrior recently fell to Bradley Scott at UFC Fight Night 107. Askham lost the bout by way of split decision. The fighter also lost by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 93.
Scott Askham has gone to Twitter to give his fans the news. In the message, the fighter admits that his career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship did not go as he had hoped. Still, Askham assured his fans that this is not the end.
