Anderson Silva was set to face Kelvin Gastelum, until Gastelum was flagged by USADA. Now, Gastelum is out of the race for a fight against “The Spider.” Following the news, fighters have been stepping up to face the MMA veteran.
Among them, No. 1 UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero called out “The Spider.” But, it would appear that Romero likely won’t see Anderson Silva inside the octagon.
Previously, former champion Luke Rockhold accepted an offer from the UFC to fight Anderson Silva. However, the Silva camp turned down the former champion. Now, it would appaer that Anderson Silva is counting out Yoel Romero as well.
After hearing of Gastelum being pulled from the fight, Romero offered to fight Silva. But, Malki Kawa has recently reported that Anderson Silva is turning that down as well.
