UFC Fight Night 108 is going down tonight, with featherweight contender Cub Swanson set to face off against Artem Lobov. However, one of the night’s middleweight bouts garnered some attention from ringside commentator Brian Stann.
Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight competitor Thales Leites faced off against fellow competitor and mixed martial arts veteran Sam Alvey in the night’s event. However, color commentator Brian Stann made a point about one of the fighter’s cornermen
In between the second and third round, both fighters returned to their corners to rest. During the break, Brian Stann noted that one of Leites’ cornermen was holding a phone to his ear. The commentator suggested that the cornerman may have had the audio from his opponent’s corner being fed to him.
That being said, Brian Stann admitted that their were many other innocuous things that could have been going on. However, Stann revealed that the strategy is nothing new to the sport.
