Back in 2014 former UFC fighter War Machine, formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, assaulted Christine Mackinday. Christy Mack, former porn star and previous girlfriend to War Machine, faced many injuries from the assault. She was hospitalized for the severity of her injuries.
Just last month, War Machine’s trial ended with the former fighter being charged on 29 counts. Outside of her participation in the trial, Christy Mack has spent little time in the public eye. Now, the former porn star is coming forward to tell her story.
Christine Mackinday is set to be featured on HBO’s “Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel” tomorrow, April 18, at 10:00 P.M. ET. In promotion of the episode, HBO has released a trailer featuring Christy Mack.
In the trailer, Mackinday admitted that there was one particularly difficult part of the trial. While she says she feels different now, Mackinday said that it was difficult having him on trial while she loved him.
“There was one time, I believe it was the initial hearing, where he mouthed that he loved me and that was extremely difficult. I began bawling immediately. Because for a long time I did still feel emotionally connected to him. It stays with you for a long time. And while I don’t feel the love that I used to feel for him now, going through this process with somebody that you did love or that I felt like I loved, was extremely hard.”
