Bellator MMA will be looking to make history when they invade the Madison Square Garden for the biggest event in company history at “Bellator: NYC”. The card is headlined by a major blood-feud between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva, a rivalry that kicked off in the UFC but can only be settled in Bellator.
The legendary Fedor Emelianenko will be welcoming Matt Mitrione into the octagon for the co-main event of the evening in a bout that was originally scheduled to take place earlier this year. Now that Mitrione’s kidney stones have passed, he will be ready to throw down with Emelianenko on fight night.
It appears the card just got a little more historic as two legendary names will be entering the cage on fight night to prove their mettle. Ryan Couture and Neiman Gracie will be donning a pair of Bellator gloves for their fights that night.
Couture will be making his return to the Bellator cage to square off with Haim Gozali on the Spike.Com portion of the preliminaries. Couture is currently riding a two fight losing streak that he is hoping to snap on the biggest stage of thema all in MSG.
Neiman Gracie, a student of Renzo Gracie, will be stepping into the cage to clash with David Marfone in a main card bout that will air on SPIKE. Who do you think will walk out of the cage with their hands raised in victory after this fight?
