Dana White And Joe Rogan React To The Passing Of Charlie Murphy — RIP

The world lost another popular comedian, actor, and world class human being on Wednesday afternoon when it was revealed that Charlie Murphy had passed away. According to Charlie’s manager, Murphy passed away from leukemia on Wednesday morning in a New York City Hospital. Before his passing, TMZ learned that he was undergoing chemotherapy for treatment. Murphy was just fifty-seven years old.

The world of mixed martial arts is a bizarre one, and it’s easy to get into a hive-like mindset when there’s someone as cool as Joe Rogan directing people to the right comedians. Rogan, the voice of the octagon, has influenced the comedy-taste of many fans and fighters and it was no secret that he was close to Murphy.

That’s why when Murphy’s shocking passing was revealed earlier this week, it caught everybody from the mainstream crowd (Chappelle Show), to the comedian crowd, to the mixed martial arts world all off guard. Rogan took to social media to reveal what Murphy meant to him, and UFC President Dana White followed up shortly thereafter:

“RIP #charliemurphy ?”
