UFC Releases Emotional New Mic’d Up Footage From UFC 210’s Mousasi-Weidman Controversy

Ultimate Fighting Championship made their way to Buffalo, New York for the controversial “UFC 210” earlier in April. While the main event fight went on without a hitch as Daniel Cormier defended his light heavyweight crown against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, the co-main is where all the drama ended up.

Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi were on their way to having an extremely competitive back-and-forth fight before Mousasi landed a couple knees in the second round that the referee thought was illegal. Upon replay review, however, the commission ruled that the knees were, in fact, legal and that ruled Weidman unfit to continue the fight.

There are reports saying that Weidman did not know what day it was, which is the main culprit behind the doctors waving off the fight to protect the health of “The All American”. This loss now gives Weidman three losses in a row, while Mousasi continues his winning streak.

UFC recently released their newest edition of “The Thrill and the Agony” of “UFC 211” which highlights three of the most exciting fights on the card. Hear never-before-heard interactions between the referee and Weidman before listening to the corner of Cormier celebrate his hard-earned victory:
