The rivalry between Cody “No Love” Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw is taking the forefront as they are the coaches for the twenty-fifth season of “The Ultimate Fighter”. Before they step into the octagon with each other at “UFC 213” to fight over Garbrandt’s bantamweight championship, they will be forced to stand across from one another throughout the season.
Things got heated in the opening episode as Garbrandt grabbed the throat of Dillashaw with a fight nearly breaking out. Luckily for everybody involved, that did not happen as the contestants separated them in time. This rivalry dates back long before Garbrandt won the championship, however, and it is not a story about how he simply has a target on his back.
Even though Team Alpha Male helped Dillashaw get to the title, he ultimately split from the team to join Elevation Fight Team in Colorado alongside Ludwig. Garbrandt and Dillashaw took a seat at the start of the first episode to break down their sides of the rivalry:
