Ultimate Fighting Championship will be making their way to the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore for “UFC Fight Night 111”. The bout for the card has yet to find an official main event, but MMA Fighting is reporting that a bout between former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and Bethe Correia could be targeted to be the main event.
The always exciting kickboxing style of Holm will be sure to bring the fans in Singapore to their feet, but will they see the Holm of old? Holm did the unthinkable when she picked apart Ronda Rousey at “UFC 193” in 2015 but has since went on a three fight losing skid, losing to the likes of Miesha Tate, Valentina Shevchenko, and Germaine de Randamie.
Correia is also looking to find her footing inside the octagon if this fight is made official, having won just one of her last four fights. After suffering consecutive losses to Ronda Rousey and Raquel Pennington, she was able to defeat Jessica Eye by way of split decision. In March 2017, however, she suffered another setback when her fight with Marion Reneau was ruled a draw.
Who would come out on top of this heavy-hitting contest if the two were to throw down? How many wins will it take if Holm were to get right back into title contention for the women’s bantamweight title? Do you think Correia could work her way back into the top of the rankings as well?
