Jon “Bones” Jones is on the verge of a comeback as his suspension stemming from his “UFC 200” drug test failure is coming to an end. Jones was targeted by Daniel Cormier after “UFC 2069”, possibly planting the seeds for an immediate title shot upon “Bones'” return.
UFC President Dana White had mentioned before that he was unsure when Jones would be returning to the octagon, but he cleared the air recently when he stated the title shot is Jones’ if he wants it. The timetable would be at “UFC 214”.
Jones has been out of action since his fight with Ovince Saint Preux at “UFC 197” where he dominated the underdog, winning all five rounds of their main event contest. Not even three months later, Jones would be forced to sit on the sidelines where he likely collected (even more) ring rust.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan recently broke down the possibility of an immediate title shot for Jones in a recent edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience”. See what Joe had to say about the debacle in the clip below:
Do you think Jones should get an immediate title shot upon his return?
