McGregor Camp Suggests Nate Diaz Fights Tony Ferguson For Interim Title, Winner Fights Conor

With the UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor looking at a mega-fight in boxing, the side-effect is a hold up of his division.

That’s why Conor McGregor’s manager,Audie Attar is suggesting a title eliminator between two of the division’s top talents.

While on today’s edition of “The MMA Hour”, Attar suggested that Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson should face off in order to stimulate what he called, “excitement” for the return of Conor McGregor.

Attar also revealed that he believes the smart move would be for the UFC to have the two fight for the UFC lightweight interim belt. So that division can breathe life, while Conor hunts down his historic payday against Floyd Mayweather.

We know Ferguson, who has made repeated callouts of Diaz, is down for the scrap. However, Nate seems content to make Conor live up to his word and conclude their trilogy. There is presently no indication that Diaz wishes to fight Ferguson.

Stay tuned.
