McGregor Reveals His Plans For His Unborn Son — ‘He Will Also Be A UFC Champion’

UFC Lightweight (and self-proclaimed featherweight) Champion Conor McGregor may not be showing his face inside the octagon for quite some time. “The Notorious” has been teasing a brief transition to the boxing ring and he has his sights set on the biggest name of them all in Floyd Mayweather Jr.

McGregor made history when he knocked Eddie Alvarez out cold at “UFC 205” to capture the lightweight championship, becoming the first fighter in company history to hold two championships at the same time. After the fight, Conor mentioned that he would be taking some time off from fighting to help his pregnant girlfriend with the birth of their son.

McGregor joked that he was “scared out of his britches” about parenthood, but “The Notorious” already has some major plans for his little man. In a recent Instagram post, Conor shared his plans for his little boy that is due at any given moment:

“I like to build fighters and watch their progression. I have built many to this date, and all unintentionally. One is fighting in the UFC main event this weekend. When my son is born I will build him up into a multiple free fighting world champion also. Just like his old man. I look forward to it.”

Here is a reply video I sent one of my protégés who was seeking advice on some boxing only pad work footage they sent me. I believe you will like it. The focus has been solely boxing lately but make no mistakes, the kicking and grappling aspects, and everything else got to do with unlimited free fighting, is still very much present in my thoughts. Floyd may crap his jocks after all and if so I will go back to true fighting or just pick another boxer like manny or something. But whatever that's another conversation. I like to build fighters and watch their progression. I have built many to this date, and all unintentionally. One is fighting in the UFC main event this weekend. When my son is born I will build him up into a multiple free fighting world champion also. Just like his old man. I look forward to it.
