Anderson Silva used to stand in a class of his own when it came to championship defenses as he defended his middleweight championship a staggering ten times. At “UFC on FOX 24”, he was joined by Demetrious Johnson as he defended his flyweight championship for the tenth time against Wilson Reis.
“Mighty Mouse” was constantly three steps ahead of Reis the entire fight, forcing the challenger to always chase him and wonder what was coming next. Johnson constantly changed the level of attack, switching from the body of Reis to the legs all the while mixing legit punches with feigned ones.
Nearly every time Johnson shot for a takedown, Reis would do his best to fight it off but somehow always ended up on his back. Johnson transitioned at will and battered Reis with short elbows and hammer-fists before locking in an armbar for the win.
