Kansas City, Missouri held last weekend’s UFC on FOX 24 event. Inside the Sprint Center, flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson defended his belt from challenger Wilson Reis. Johnson made his tenth consecutive title defense at the event.
Another interesting fight that went down was that of middleweight contenders Robert Whittaker and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza. Robert Whittaker took home an impressive victory over his opponent. In the second round, Whittaker rocked Souza with a head kick and scored a TKO victory.
Following the display, there has been a resurgence of people tossing up a new nickname for Whittaker. His official nickname is “The Reaper.” However, some have started calling the middleweight contender “Bobby Knuckles.”
Mixed martial arts journalist Damon Martin recently took to Twitter to report that Whittaker is not too interested in the new nickname. The fighter wants to stick with “The Reaper.” Martin said, “Robert Whittaker shoots down the Bobby Knuckles nickname. He likes ‘The Reaper'”
