Cody “No Love” Garbrandt took his throne at the top of the bantamweight division when he defeated Dominick Cruz for the UFC Bantamweight Championship at “UFC 207”. Now, the champion will defend his gold for the first time against one of his greatest rivals in TJ Dillashaw.
Before Garbrandt and Dillashaw get to throw down in the center of the octagon at “UFC 213”, the two will have to coach opposite of each other on “The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption”. The season premiere aired this past Wednesday and all hell broke loose when Garbrandt grabbed the throat of his foe.
Dillashaw tried to fire back and respond with something of his own, but both teams were there to separate both coaches from throwing down which could have prevented their co-main event bout from taking place at “UFC 213”.
Since the airing of the first episode, Garbrandt and Dillashaw have been chirping at each other on social media non-stop. Garbrandt may have gotten the last laugh, however, as he fired off this tweet giving Dillashaw a brand new nickname… and a new hair-do:
