Ultimate Fighting Championship made their way to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for “UFC Fight Night 108”. “Ultimate Fighter” veteran Joe Lauzon made his way into the octagon on the main card of the event and even though he had a dominant display in the opening round, he came up short for the win.
Lauzon was welcomed to the octagon by Stevie Ray, and it did not take long for the action to pick up. Lauzon caught a kick from Ray early on and brought the fight to the ground and it almost got to the point where Ray wouldn’t make it back to the corner for a second round.
Lauzon was absolutely relentless in the first, making it rain elbows and fists all the while cutting off any transition Ray was trying to execute to get out of danger. Ray returned to his corner after a rough opening round and was told to avoid throwing kicks at all costs.
He followed that advice and even though he was brought to the ground again in the fight, it was Ray who outlanded and outworked Lauzon in the final two rounds to earn the victory. Check out the highlights in the clip below:
