When Ultimate Fighting Championship was sold to WME-IMG, a lot of familiar faces left the premier fight organization. Office workers from Las Vegas, Nevada to Canada lost their jobs due to the fact that UFC was letting people go, but perhaps the face and voice people miss the most if former commentator Mike Goldberg.
Goldberg sat next to Joe Rogan for years and the duo became the voice of the UFC. However, once Goldberg made his exit from the company, fighters and fans alike were left wondering who would call the action alongside Rogan.
UFC called upon the help of Fox Sports analysts Dominick Cruz and Daniel Cormier to call the action. Rogan has only had the opportunity to call the action with Cruz and it seems like they hit the ground running and never looked back. Rogan spoke about Cruz’s transition in the clip below:
“Dominick Cruz is a great guy to ask anything about MMA because he is so knowledgeable. He’s been doing it for so long. He’s a smart dude and he’s always thinking it through. He’s constantly thinking things through. He’s great.”
