UFC Champ Bisping Has Words For Both Whittaker And Jacare

Robert Whittaker and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza met inside the octagon at “UFC on FOX 24” in a fight that most fans called the most anticipated bout of the night. Both fighters were ranked high in the middleweight rankings and a win for Souza would further establish him as the most dominant fighter in the division.

Whittaker, on the other hand, was looking to prove that he is a top-five fighter capable of one day walking down to the octagon with the UFC Middleweight Championship strapped around his waist. Souza was Whittaker’s biggest test to date and he passed with flying colors.

Whittaker was cautious to stay away from Souza, knowing that he could grab a hold of him at any given moment and take him down to the canvas to work for a submission. Souza took Whittaker down early on in the first round, but Whittaker was quick to pop right back up.

As Whittaker landed more and more throughout the fight, you could see the confidence build on his face and it translated well to his offense. Souza seemed lost, hoping the fight would eventually find its way to the mat. It did, but only after Whittaker knocked Souza down. Whittaker finished Souza in the second round, and UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping had this to say about the performance:
