Who’s Richer? The UFC on FOX 24 Bonus Report

UFC President Dana White.

The stagehands at Ultimate Fighting Championship have deconstructed and packed the octagon up at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri as “UFC on FOX 24” is in the books. One of the least anticipated fight cards of the year turned out to be one of the best, as it saw six finishes and a number of nail-biting decisions.

Fight of the Night: Tim Elliott and Louis Smolka ($50,000 Each)
The televised portion of the preliminary bouts kicked off with a grappling clinic between Louis Smolka and Tim Elliott. Elliott gave it everything he got and pushed a pace that very few would be able to match. Smolka was one of the few that could match Elliott’s pace and escaped every single submission that was attempted that fight. While Elliott was always one step ahead, Smolka was not far behind and showed his ability to adapt and it made for a fight that won them “Fight of the Night” honors.

Performance of the Night: Robert Whittaker ($50,000)
Whittaker stepped into the octagon at “UFC on FOX 24” as the underdog and left with his hands raised in victory. He stood across the octagon from Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza knowing that he has been one of the most dangerous fighters the middleweight division has seen in quite some time. Whittaker never let that get into his head and sent “Jacare” down to the mats where he finished him by way of technical knockout.

Performance of the Night: Demetrious Johnson ($50,000)
“Mighty Mouse” joined prestigious company at “UFC on FOX 24”, joining Anderson Silva as the only two fighters to defend their championships a total of ten times. Johnson’s successful defense against Wilson Reis pockedted him an extra $50,000.
