On Sunday, UFC light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson put on one of the greatest performances in his UFC career.
In the main event of a UFC Fight Night, in his home country of Sweden, Gustafsson knocked out fellow former title challenger Glover Teixeira.
Gustafsson and Teixeria went to war for four rounds. At the beginning of the fifth round, Gustafsson landed multiple uppercuts in a row followed by a hard right hand that knocked out the Brazilian.
After the fight, Gustafsson talked about his performance with FOX Sports 1.
“Glover is a tough guy. He is one of the badest fighters on the planet. I’m so honored to fight him here in my hometown of Stockholm,” Gustafsson said.
“He has a good chin. He can take a shot. He’s a fighter. He’s a fighter in his heart. He goes through the pain and just keeps going for that W.”
