Both UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes and her girlfriend, UFC strawweight Nina Ansaroff, believe they are better than UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
In an interview with TMZ, Nunes said she is the best pound-for-pound female fighter in the world.
Even though all three fighters, Nunes, Ansaroff, and Jedrzejczyk, train at the same gym, both Nunes and Ansaroff made sure to point out that they are not teammates with Jedrzejczyk.
Later both Nunes and Ansaroff said Ansaroff could beat the UFC champion.
“It just hasn’t been my time yet to show that, but that’s how everyone’s career goes,” Ansaroff said.
Nunes and Ansaroff went on to say that they will be the first ever couple in UFC history to hold championships at the same time.
Ansaroff is currently coming off a submission win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger back in January.
Nunes is scheduled to defend her title against Valentina Shevchenko on July 8 at UFC 213.
