Another Shady Promoter Stiffs Fighters On Pay, Including UFC Vets

UFC veteran Sarah Kaufman claims she has yet to be paid for her last fight which took place for the Battlefield FC promotion in Korea.

Kaufman won a unanimous decision in March against Jessy Rose-Clark. This was her first fight since leaving the UFC.

In a statement to BloodyElbow.com, Kaufman says she has yet to get paid for her recent fight.

“I’m not sure the exact number of fighters who haven’t been paid. I was told from the promotion there are 7 of us remaining, but I am one of them. I know for sure the top 3 fights on the card — before mine, the co-main and the main — need to be paid. The promotion has mostly stayed in contact with us and has continued to insist we will be paid, but as of yet no money has been wired into my account.”

Despite no longer being in the UFC, Kaufman is still one of the top women bantamweight fighters in the world. Kaufman is a former Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion and has notable wins over Alexis Davis, Miesha Tate, Shayna Baszler, Liz Carmouche, and Leslie Smith.
