UFC President Dana White has gotten into a heated battle on Twitter with one of his promotion’s fighters.
Over the past couple days, White and former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold have been trading jabs via social media.
On Tuesday, White was the latest to critique his former champion.
“I usually never respond, but GSP never lost his title. GSP, Bisping, and the fans wanted it. Stick to fighting and modeling and leave the matchmaking to us,” White tweeted at Rockhold.
Rockhold has been upset with the UFC over the past few months. He has not been happy with the choice of contenders the UFC has chosen to fight UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
Bisping won the title by knocking out Rockhold last June. Since then, Bisping has been scheduled to defend his title against Dan Henderson, a fighter who was not ranked in the top 10, and Georges St-Pierre, a former welterweight champion who hasn’t fought in four years and hasn’t fought as a middleweight.
The UFC is currently trying to book a middleweight title fight between Bisping and top contender Yoel Romero. After the fight was announced, Rockhold tweeted, “Well done” to the UFC.
