Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight competitor Al Iaquinta made his return to the octagon at UFC Fight Night 108. The fighter had been out of the octagon for two years prior to the event. However, the night did not end amicably for the fighter.
Al Iaquinta put on a dominant performance over his opponent at UFC Fight Night 108. Iaquinta scored a first round knockout over mixed martial arts veteran Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez. However, the fighter did not receive a “performance of the night” bonus after the fact.
Disgruntled, Al Iaquinta began a series of messages against the UFC. Seemingly, Iaquinta was not pleased that he was not receiving a bonus for his performance. However, it would now appear that the fighter may have made peace with the mixed martial arts promotion.
Over Twitter, UFC’s Reed Harris stated “Big thanks to @ALIAQUINTA for all the work at ufc211 tonight. Worked with the team doing VIP meet and greet. Fans loved it!!!” Then, Al Iaquinta sent a message of his own to the UFC higher up. “❤️ @reedharrisufc I better start training” Iaquinta said.
