Bellator MMA is interested in signing UFC Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes.
After losing their jobs with the UFC, in roles that did not involve fighting, both Liddell and Hughes have stated they are interested in making a return to competition.
Bellator President Scott Coker said, during a press conference for Bellator 179, that he is interested in talking to both legendary fighters.
“At some point, I’m sure we’ll talk, and we’ll just hear each other out and see if there’s anything to be done,” Coker said talking about the possibility of signing Liddell or Hughes.
Liddell is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and has not fought since 2010 when he was knocked out by former UFC Middleweight Champion Rick Franklin.
Hughes is a former UFC welterweight champion. He has not fought since 2011 when he was knocked out by former UFC title challenger Josh Koscheck.
